Super Junior BONAMANA on Music Bank

The Super Junior boys returned on stage on the June 11th episode of Music Bank for some BONAMANA once again.
After a triple crown of K-Chart trophies, there was to be no 4th trophy tonight as they were 4th on the K-Chart this week. But nevertheless, the boys still gave it their all on stage.

China fans spent 170 million won to buy Super Junior's album

Fans of the Korean group Super Junior have spent almost 170 million won altogether(about 480,000 ringgit) to buy their idol's albums. They then posted the receipts of their purchases online, causing a heated discussion among Korean netizens.

According to Korea's newspaper "Korea Daily* ", a Chinese fan posted pictures of the receipts online as "evidence", showing the huge number of albums they have bought. The record of the receipts showed 8100 copies of version A were sold on 13th May and 5100 copies of version B of the 4th album were sold on 20th May. The total cost of version A and B was 101,250,000 won and 66,250,000 won respectively. In total, 170++ million won was spent on purchasing their idol's albums.

Regarding Chinese fan's lavishness, Korean Netizens have shown great reaction, some saying "the power of a big country(China) is sure different" and "China fans are so great", "very cool indeed" etc. Some Korean fans also say "The passion of Chinese fans is really great, but it seems like the concert tickets in China are very expensive, Korea is still the best."

Super Junior performed 100%

The first impression that Korea’s super group Super Junior left for the Singaporean media yesterday was: friendly and fun. Their funny behaviors make them very suitable as promoters.
Super Junior arrived in Singapore yesterday to promote Samsung’s new handphone model, hold a press conference and a private concert. The members who came were leader Leeteuk, Heechul, Yesung, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon and Ryeowook. Kyuhyun just had his ear surgery done, so he could not come.
Super Junior held their press conference in Marina Bay Sands in the afternoon. Although it was only 15 minutes, they showed the press how lively and natural they were.
When asked how they can stand firm and survive in Korea’s competitive music industry, Leeteuk answered, “The secret is to have a lot of passion for singing and dancing”.
After saying that, he asked Eunhyuk to demonstrate what is called passion. Eunhyuk danced a short part of “Bonamana”, winning a round of applause.

Leeteuk even spoke in English saying “My best friend is Galaxy S (the handphone model), my brother is Samsung, my father and mother is SingTel and I love Singapore.”
After listening to that, the business will definitely smile from ear to ear!
2000 people celebrated Ryeowook’s birthday
The showcase, which was planned to be held at 7.30 pm, was delayed by 25 minutes. The moment Super Junior entered the stage, the atmosphere could only be described by one word—deafening.

During the concert, the members and the 2000 participants celebrated Ryeowook’s 21st birthday. They boys naughtily took a small piece of the cake and dabbed it on Ryeowook’s nose. The event organizers cleverly wiped his nose, and asked fans if they want to eat this “precious” piece of cake, arousing fans to scream wildly “YES!”
Towards the end of the performance, the members became more and more “high”*, Leeteuk even jumped off the stage, making fans go crazy. Siwon even moved the off-stage camera to the stage, making the crowd excited.

Hangeng talking about the lawsuit: Stepping out of the misery, handing the case to the lawyer

On 11/6 it was reported that Hangeng, who has left Super Junior and is now working on his own, showed up for the 1st time in Beijing to talk about the termination of his contract, and has also revealed his new work plans. "In Korea, artistes terminating their contracts are very common, if that artiste is a solo artiste, the termination just needs to go through he necessary procedures to complete, but it is more sensitive if that artiste is in a group, as he/she not only needs to face the company, but also the fans and members who make up the group who have been together for many years," Hangeng says. He adds, no matter how painful the process is, at least now his worries are gone, as for the court case, he has already given it completely to his lawyer to handle. Now work is his top priority.

Hangeng has revealed that while working with music, he also wants to enter the big screen*, "I have always been interested in acting, my dream is to act with my idol Jackie Chan in shooting a martial arts film, it has always been my wish(!) If I can act in a movie, I hope to change my image and act as an unusual character, even if I have to shave my head bald or act as an ugly person."

As we have reported just now, the China Elfs had a 'war' online with those who hate Super Junior on wednesday regarding the incident that happened in Shanghai.

Online War Erupts Over Boy Band Super Junior

A misunderstanding over a Korean boy band is fanning anti-Korean sentiment in China.

A war of words erupted online from 7 p.m. Wednesday between fans of Super Junior and those who hate the group in China. Most Chinese Web sites were bombarded with posts titled “69 (June 9th) Holy War,” criticizing the group and its Chinese fans.

One post said, “As long as pointed heads exist, the holy war will continue.” “Pointed heads” refer to Chinese who are fanatical about foreign pop stars.

Other posts said, “Get lost, Super Junior!” and “Get lost, pointed heads!”

The group’s Chinese fans fought back, however, with posts such as, “You are pointed heads," and, “Regardless of whether we are Koreans or not, we like Super Junior.”

On the bulletin board for the group on the Chinese portal Baidu, 50 posts containing mutual slander were put up per second at one point Wednesday. Replies were continuously posted to each message.

The ruckus originates from a misunderstanding over the Korean Music Festival held May 30 at the Korean Center of the Shanghai World Expo, at which Super Junior performed.

Many Chinese gathered to receive free tickets, but the expo’s organizing committee significantly reduced the number of the tickets. When people protested, the committee stopped distribution altogether.

Chinese police were dispatched after the protest widened, but the disturbance grew so much that a Hong Kong newspaper made a false report that one person was crushed to death. A staff member of the Korean Center repeatedly stressed, “The Korean Center is not related to this incident.”

Chinese netizens are venting their anger on Super Junior because of rumors that Korea reduced the number of free tickets. The mishap forced the cancellation of a performance by Japanese pop music group SMAP at the Japanese Center, to the chagrin of its fans.

The situation worsened after Chinese netizens hostile to fans of foreign pop stars joined the slander war.

An official at the Korean Embassy in Beijing said, “We are closely watching the situation.

Kim hee chul is seen wearing a yellow-striped baggy tee with a pink cat imprinted on it. I don't think this tee is meant for guys because of the cat on it but if it is, it should be given as a gift by his fans.

According to Kyuhyun’s fancafe, a Chinese group who is anti Hallyu will release a hacking virus at Super Junior’s official Website. They blame Super Junior for the incident that happened in Shanghai Expo instead of blaming the people who held the event. So, as a result, they will release a hacking virus at Baidu website and Super Junior’s official website. This virus will hack into any computers that visits both websites. So, do not visit both websites for awhile since the hackers will continue to release viruses.

Shindong and Gruyi radio broadcast

The revelation of Super Junior ShinDong and Kara Gyruri’s pictures taken during the recent radio broadcast break on the radio show’s website caught the attention of many fans and netizens.

In the picture, both of them devised games while playing happily with the air-filled hammers which were used as forfeit props. The staff that uploaded the picture even wrote an introduction saying: The duo were not bothered that they were still in the middle of the show, they also did not care about each other’s level of seniority and played happily. Fans who saw the pictures commented one after another, saying that Shindong and Gyuri look like they have a good relationship, the both of them look really cute playing around with each other.
